The Nigerian Commission
Nigeria is home to about 23 million people living with this virus and sadly less than 10 million are currently aware of their status. The Commission is motivated by the enormity of this number and the grave implications of the non-awareness status level in our country. Imagine how many people are being infected daily through ways as mundane as a handshake. Do you know that some strains of Hepatitis virus can survive outside the human body for up to 7days?
Just imagine the implication!! Our goal is to prevent, detect and treat viral Hepatitis so one day in the near future when asked what the count of Hepatitis is in Nigeria... It will be said ... HEPATITIS ZERO!
- VISION: To bring the count of Hepatitis cases to a Zero in the Nigeria.
- MISSION: To effectively create awareness and sensitization, ensure availability of viral testing, screening and necessary drugs on the Nigeria scale
- VALUES: Togetherness, Consistency, Integrity and Results
